Why I don't like surprise parties

charliesmumWe were having a party at work for the Big Boss who is getting married soon, but he never showed up. If he knew there was a party for him, he may have made an effort, but it's hard to be upset with someone if they don't know.
Meanwhile, we just had tons of food and wine, even. Hurrah.
