This one is easy to answer.
The Monkees. No question.
I started watching them when I was, oh, gosh, I don't even know really. Maybe 8 years old? My best friend and I would watch the show religiously every day at 5pm. Came on the 'UHF" channel 48, I think it was, right after Gilligan's Island and right before two episodes of the Brady Bunch.
When my dad found me a copy of 'The Monkees Refocus' We played that thing to death. We would pretend we were at a concert, and naturally they would call us on stage and we'd become their best friends.
I wanted to change my name to Valerie because they had a song called Valerie.
Did you know the Monkees song, Randy Scouse Git, was about them hanging out with the Beatles?
Davy Jones was my favourite - I'm not sure if it was because he was English and my Anglophilia had already taken hold or if I became an Anglophile because of Davy Jones. Kind of chicken/egg, there.
As an adult, I appreciate Mike Nesmith much more.
Charlie likes this show on Nickelodeon called Big Time Rush that I don't mind, becuase it is kind of a spiritual successor to the Monkeess.
Tellingly, though, the Monkees were a group of young adults trying to break into the big time whereas Big Time Rush are 4 teenagers basically being manufactured by a record company to be the Next Big Thing.
