Enough with Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. Enough, I tell you! Why is this so important. It's not like he is the first man to every hit mid-life and take up with a much younger woman and It's not that interesting.

So, unless we're taking bets about how long their marriage is going to last, I don't want to hear about it.

In other news, hopefully I will get the DSL thing this weekend, and hopefully it will work, and I will be able to get on line. Otherwise, I won't be able to get to LJ until Monday. That is just not a fun thing. However, if I don't I hope everyone has a nice weekend full of fun things.

I agree!! I am sick of hearing about it! Also, come on, how long have they been dating?? How can they possibly already know they want to get married. Hollywood romances make me sick! I have also lost respect for Tom Cruise because of his high almighty attitude about people who are on medications. Idiot.

I took a very fleeting, marginal interest in this couple when I came across some article (I think it may have been the "I Like to Watch" column on Salon ) that implied Tom Cruise came off as somewhat insane during his recent Oprah appearance. And I was like, "Gosh, what'd he say?" Then I utterly failed to follow up and find out what it was he said, and speedily resumed not caring in the least. So, agreed on the overkill of coverage.

I completely agree. also, I used to *like* Katie Holmes, or at least think she was gorgeous and smart and a good actress. Now I'm kinda wondering about #2 there - though it's possible she's just using #3 to convince him and everyone while she drums up publicity. :) Anyway, it's a 5-second sound bite, sure, but NEWS?!!
