I don't have anything terribly interesting to say; but I never post any more, since I can't just surf along during the day like I used to, since it's on 'quota time' at work. AND it rounds up. If I'm on for 5 minutes, when I go back, it says i used 10. Stupid bloody thing.

I feel like we don't talk any more Flist. What's going on in your life? I miss you.

My summer is plodding along. It is infinitely better than last summer was, I can tell you that. Charlie made some friends at the pool; girls he likes to hang with. They 'familied' each other on Facebook, so now they are his 'sisters'.

It's cute. Weird, but cute.

I'm counting down the days until our long weekend in the UK in November. Can't wait! And Charlie is counting down the days until NEXT July when we're there for ten days. I'm a bit concerned we'll be sleeping rough, since hotel rooms are going to be at a premium. We're looking into a flat share kind of thing, too, but many of them are already booked, I think.

Any suggestions, British Flist who have any idea about London and its environs at all? :)

Good stuff? I'm now down to 120kg, which means I've lost 9kg (around 19lb).

I have a new flowerbed and pond in the back garden in place of the old giant pond and a nice little cast metal table to put my cuppa on while I'm out there admiring the flowers.

And my runner beans are growing! :-)

Things are pretty good in Baltimore. My son Matt's in a variety of summer camps and work is keeping me busy. Looking for a new car.

I'm currently in Seattle, working on a telepresence cruise looking for hydrothermal vents (which means they send down a robot and I spend eight hours a day in a dark room watching the video feed.) At least we get internet, though! And then I'm off to Baltimore next weekend for Otakon with some friends from uni.

I usually stay in Travelogdes. They have a sale every couple fo months and I've found rooms for £50 for a double room. They do family rooms too. might be worth getting on their mailing list just in case?
