charliesmum: (HM the Queen - kirathaune and me)

For my wedding procession, we decided to just download songs on my iTouch, and use my iTouch player, which is quite good by the way, to play the songs. The actual ceremony is going to be short enough that it isn't worth the $150 extra the DJ would charge to do a remote thingy.

So today I picked two songs. One for the procession in, and one for when we leave as husband and wife.

The bridal processional will be The March from The Birds by Sr Charles Hubert Hastings Parry, and the recessional will be Toccata From Symphonie V by Charles-Marie Widor.

Why, you ask? Because the first was a processional used for HM the Queen* at the Royal Wedding, and the second was the song played after their service of the Royal Wedding.

*Becuase I really didn't like the song Kate Middleton walked in on, actually. I liked this one much better.

I have a soft spot for the piece Kate Middleton used, but that's mainly because we sang that anthem every year for the final service of Trinity Term at Merton.

We actually did the same thing at my wedding--all the songs were on my iPod and we just had someone cue them up as needed.
