Was just sorting through the stuff I have in the basement, trying to find things for the yard sale my friends and fiance and I are having this Saturday. I didn't think I had a lot in the basement, I got rid of so many things when I moved here, but there is still so much more down there than I realised. Most of it I think I'm not going to bring with me; some of it just got musty from being down there so long, and frankly if I haven't needed it in 4 years, I'm not going to need it now.

There really isn't too much from my old life I want to bring into my new life. Anything I do want I have displayed in my apartment, and so the stuff in the basement is mostly going to go. Even my piggies from my old kitchen. I'm not going to do the piggy thing again. Time to move on.

The one thing I'm having trouble with is my books. Despite my best efforts they are a bit musty, and I don't know that I will have the place for them wherever we end up but...you know...books. They're my books. I'd already cut my collection down to the bone before moving here.

I tell myself I am going to sell them, or give them away, and then I go to sort them and...well...hard.

I am starting a pile for my neice who likes to read though. I think I will give her the Nancy Drews if I can find them.

In other news, I put in my notice at work. My last day will be June 15th. Weird.

I love pigs! LOL Our kitchen is a weird mix of lighthouses and pigs. Because Ricky likes lighthouses.

I found some awesome range covers at our thrift store that had pigs, but there were only two. I bought them anyway. :)
