Gay Marriage

Orson Scott Card just wrote an article against gay marriages. His argument is that gay people can, too, get married, as long as they marry someone of the opposite sex. Er...miss the point much? I don't see why it matters. No one is asking for the government's blessing or approval, because what two people, and let me clarify, consensual ADULT people, do isn't anyone else's business. They are asking for legal rights. That's all. You don't like it, George Bush? Then don't go to the dinner party. No one cares if you like it. Not the point. You're not being asked to marry Dick Chaney, or anything. JUST LET IT BE LEGAL. Gay people live like straight people do. They love each other, and bicker over who's turn it is to make dinner, and they share jokes, and get annoyed at each other's habits, just like straight people. The sex part of it is of the same percentage as in a straight marriage. It is a part of the relationship, not the whole. So Get. Over. It. Make gay marriage legal.
