Right. My observations about last night's episode, for anyone who cares. I did post these observations on lost_tv, but figure I'll reproduce them here, just because I can.


1. Shut up Jack.

2. As usual, Hurley gets the best line - "Finally things can go back to normalness."

Kate: Sayid, we need your help!

Hurley: Crap

I love him to pieces.

3. Terry O'Quinn is an amazing actor.

4. I was really hoping we'd find out that Locke's daddy is the original Sawyer, because I totally think he is.

5. Shut up Jack.

6. Did Jack's wife die, do you think? other peole have opined that maybe the woman that Jack's dad killed was Jack's wife, but I don't think so - I'm pretty sure Jack had to go 'talk to the family' after the operation. Plus Jack Sr. wouldn't have been doing the operation if he was family.

7. I think the Others that captured our boys are the other Others, i.e. the people from the back of the plane. Who obviously didn't have Jack's insprational 'live together, die alone' speech to keep them from going all Lord of the Flies on everyone. And I'm wondering if the guy that threw them in the hole is Rose's husband. I've since been reminded the guy was probably too young to be Rose's husband, and other people have said that her husband is white, but I'm not sure where they got that. Someone else did point out that the guy sounded Nigerian, which is intersting - from the drug plane, maybe?

8. Shut up Jack. Can you be more of an ass? So glad you were never my doctor. I mean House is much less noble than you are, and I'd still take his bedside manner any day.

Meanwhile, the creators of the show are brilliantly using the interweb to enhance the whole Lost experience. They made the Oceanic Airline website and now they've created a Hanso Foundation website.

Genius, I tells ya.

I knida liked Jake freaking out. He's not all Mr. Perfect Captian Hero Jack anymore. It gives him new dimention.

I'm also liking Kate more. Not that I hated her in the first place, but she's had some really good moments- and she's much better when she's not looking "pensive".

Terry O'Quinn rocks. I was watching the show in the boys' lounge, and there wasn't a dry eye in the house.

I started liking Kate more, when she went back to the hatch to help Locke.

I've been liking Kate more, too - I never completely disliked her, but I feel like the actress is more comfortable in her role, or something. Plus she totally won me over when she took the chocolate.

I particularly agree with 1, 5, and 8.

By the way, why is Hurley still so terribly overweight? They've been there 44 days. 44 days of an extremely low-calorie diet and hard work should really have reduced his size, if it didn't give him a heart attack.

I think the original sawyer was a much more small-time con man that Locke's dad is.

8. Jack is irritating, but it was good to see him finally agree to work *with* Locke, rather than against him.

Loved #2 especially as he dropped his end of the case they were carrying. My crackpot theory of the moment is that the people who discovered Sawyer and company are actually the other survivors from the plane crash and they are somehow inflicted with the mysterious illness that Desmond/Rousseau were afraid of. And there are more "Others" out there somewhere else with Walt.

Yeah, that's my thought too. That for some reason the tailaways went a bit more savage. And possibly met up with other people - there's fandom talk of Nigerians possibly from the Virgin Mary Drug Plane of Doom.
