Hey,
justleakynow! Firstly - I sure hope your night gets better! Couldn't get worse, right?
I'm sorry you weren't able to make it to the Pop Shop. I did however, meet your husband. He's very nice. (And handsome, but you probably are already aware of that!) Charlie told him, "Your name is my name is Spanish!"
So your husband now knows my husband and my son and me. So you and I REALLY need to meet soon. :)
I had the best milkshake ever tonight. It was a S'mores milkshake. It was chocolate icecream with marshmallow topping, sprinkled with graham crackers and some malted thingy. It was so good. Really, really good. And it was 1/2 price, which is always a nice thing.
gehayi is very ill, and she has to be in a nursing home until at least the end of October, and there is no internet there. She's posted the address on her journal, and is asking that people send her cards and books and things to keep herself from going too crazed, so if anyone wants to do that, it would be really nice.
And now for something completely different...So, I really liked last night's Lost. I think we need more of those happy moments. I love the rush of the more tense episodes, don't get me wrong, but a breather now and again, and some happy moments are necessary.
I love Hurley. He is such an interesting character. He worries so much about other people, and about what people think of him.
His dream was interesting - I wonder why Jin was in it. Possibly just to psych us out with the English speaking, but I wonder if there is a deeper meaning. I laughed out loud when Hurley started speaking in Korean. And 'Have a cluck, cluck, cluckity day' was just funny.
Someone more clever than I pointed out that Walt's photo was on the milk carton Hurley was drinking from in his dream. I love it when they do stuff like that.
I totally called that Kate would be in the shower eventually. Just saying.
Ana Lucia is getting on my nerves. I think I'm bored of tough chicks who beat people up. That said, the chemistry between her and Sawyer is really good. Although, come on. Not hard to drum up sexual tension when the person you're talking to looks like Sawyer.
The bit with Bernard at the end totally made me cry. And I wonder if the Tailaways aren't in station 4 of 6 on the island. there was a slightly different Dharma logo on the wall. That much I did notice.
Oh - the bit with the bottle washing up was sad. Poor Sun. I hope everyone is reunited before too long. I've had enough estrangement from Gilmore Girls, thank you.
I thought the very end, when Hurley was telling Rose about how everything was going to change interspersed with the moment his friend found out Hurley won the lottery was beautiful. The actor who played his friend did an amazing job - the look on his face was so expressive. And Jorge is a fantastic actor. He really can convey a lot of emotion in really subtle ways.
So, and I'm not good with these, the Apollo candy bars have to be a clue to something. They've focused on them too many times for them not to mean something.
And I didn't feel like telling Jack to shut up once. That's progress. And I still love Locke.
Oh - apparently the Mr Cluck boss and Locke's boss is the same guy, according to other people who are better at this than I am.
And wasn't the 'cluck you' on his lawn funny? Good ol' Hurley.
Claire getting her peanut butter was really cute, too.

on 2005-10-14 01:11 pm (UTC)They also noticed that Sun lost her wedding ring while she was digging in the sand.
I liked the Hurley episode, but the convenience store clerk remembering that Hurley had both bought a ticket there and the numbers he chose? Total Bollocks.

on 2005-10-14 01:22 pm (UTC)Or something. On a show like Lost you have to suspend some disbelief for dramatic effect! :)

Did you try looking under the lj-cut for those spoilers you lost? ;-)

on 2005-10-14 02:47 pm (UTC)I thought the same thing about the store clerk knowing who Hurley was. I said, "Yeah right, like he's going to remember the people who bought tickets and the exact numbers they picked." But, I got over it. I loved the look between Hurley and DJ Qualls at the end. So sad cause you know everything has just changed.
I don't think the bosses are the same. I remember that Locke's boss was very distinctive looking, and he looked like some famous actor. This boss was more generic looking.
Also, Kate in the shower? rolleyes
