Does anyone have "I Write the Songs" by Barry Manilow on CD that they could download and send to me? I'd like to get it for Charlie, so he could hear the real song, but am not quite sure I'm ready to go out and buy a CD.* He's currently playing it over and over and over on his keyboard - the demo version. Yeah. It isn't too annoying.

*Although I did buy him a Paul Williams CD, so I'm not really sure why I'm hesitating

I don't suppose he'd settle for "Mandy" or "Weekend in New England" or "Copacabana"...?

He'd probably like them...

Do you have Gmail or should I use You Send It?

You know, I do have gmail, but I'll be darned if I can remember what it is. I never use it. So, yeah, You Send It will be cool!

I don't have the CD, but if you go to Walmart.com, to this page, scroll down a bit and you can download the song for 88cents. There are a bunch of his other songs, too. You just pay the 88cents on a credit card & click download, and *poof* you've got it.

Thanks! I spent the .88. Made Charlie happy!

Made Charlie happy!

Cool! They don't always have every song I want at Walmart.com, but sometimes they do, and it's better to spend the 88cents than buy a whole album.

Seriously. I can see myself going a bit crazy with that, if I'm not careful!

I don't have the Barry Manilow version, but I can upload a different version if you want.

Okay, I inadvertantly lied. I have the last minute and 2 seconds of I Write The Songs, which is probably no use to you, but...here.

My girlfriend swears Barry Manilow could easily have sung with This Mortal Coil - in fact, she claims not to be able to tell the difference. Just a side note.

Ummm...I'm not getting that. I can't see the connection at all.

My boys love their synthesizer too-an old full-sized Casio their grandparents gave them. They sometimes play the prettiest classical piano pieces on it. At other times they just play songs like "Red River" over and over until I go batty. I've made up more new lyrics for old favorites that I can't sing to them than I care to admit to.
