In fluffy news
Feb. 3rd, 2005 10:37 amI'm not talking about the State of the Union address. Too frightening. Am only going to talk fluffy things today. And do fluffy quizes, and find fluffy memes and that sort of thing. *puts fingers in ears* Not happening, lalalalalalala.
Today is my husband's birthday. Happy birthday Kris! He's 38. I hope his work gives him a cake.
Charlie made a poster at school yesterday for his daddy's birthday - I meant to bring it in to scan and post here, if I could, but I forgot it, so I'll try to remember to do it tomorrow. It's extremely cute.
However, somehow Charlie got it into his head that he would be staying home from school today for his daddy's birthday despite the fact we have never ever done that before. So this morning he refused to get dressed, put a piece of tape over the door to prevent my opening it, and wouldn't get out of the car this morning when I finally got him to school. The teacher did call me to tell me he was fine now. It's pretty funny when I think about it now. Wasn't funny a couple of hours ago, but now, yeah.
And in other good news, he totally slept in his own room two nights in a row now. Hurrah.
I had a dream I was stuck, or 'lost' on an island. Can't imagine why. At one point in my dream i discovered the island had a town, and I found a phone booth and made a collect call to get help, and dialed my old phone number - the one I had growing up, which I haven't used in something like 15 years. Weird.
Dalai Lama quote of the day: Working to ease the suffering of sentient beings, to improve the situation on the planet, is the only way to happiness, contentment, and peace.
