so very busy and important
Feb. 22nd, 2005 05:22 pmWas V. busy today at work. No time to slack off and play on the interweb at all. Am just now having a few minutes, while still at work, to check friends list and post a quick hello so everyone knows I'm not ignoring them. Because I'm so sure that everyone's lives would be that much more empty without hearing from me. /sarcasm.
Have started knitting. Sort of. Can't seem to get very far before the stitches (or whatever they're called) is completely wrong and I decide to start over again. I'm quite good at the casting on now. Charlie, when I went to the store to buy my very own needles and some yarn, told the woman who was helping me that 'mommy is going to knit me a sweater.' He told me that he wanted me to 'make him fluffy.' Coincidentally, an episode of The Koala Brothers featured the penguin knitting a scarf for the unidentified bird who runs the ice cream truck, so now he's settled for a scarf. Assuming I ever learn to make an entire row without messing up.
Gilmore Girls tonight. Hurrah. I do like that show.
I've decided that Lane is more like Lorelai then Rory is. Lane, like Lorelai, rebelled against her upbringing and forged out on her own, determined to follow her own path. Rory I think rather enjoys the life her grandparents lead, controlling issues notwithstanding, and has will very likely wind up with that lifestyle, hopefully sans the obnoxious habits of her grandmother.
Anyway. I'm going home now. Bye.
