I'm trying to do something for work that consists of filling in information on certain projects. I've been here for 6 months, and while I've learned quite a lot, I still don't know enough to be able to know what to look for - someone tells me 'use project x' as an example, but I don't understand enough about project x to know which bits are appropriate.

The form is for Environmental Remedial Support Requirements, which is pretty darned vague, and while I have a glimmering of understanding as to what that means, I don't know enough of the technical side of things to know exactly what I should be saying.

Also, there is no logical way to even find out simple things like dates, because the system is kind of convoluted. You'd think there'd be reports or something, but nooooooo. And I ask for help, and get it sent back to me basically saying 'do it yourself'. Which would be fine if I actually knew what I was doing.

It is just very frustrating.

Does anyone else find it sort of ironic that that woman in Florida at the centre of the feeding tube thing had the heart failure in the first place because she had an eating disorder?

Oh. Saw Robots this weekend. It was quite good. Beautiful animation, sweet storyline, happy ending, opportunities for toy tie-ins galore. Robin Williams was classic Robin Williams, which means quite a few grown up jokes thrown in the mix. Probably one of my favorite bits of incidental humor was a poster in the main character's childhood bedroom - it had a picture of a red and blue robot and underneath was written "Rock'em Sock'em Robots IV - Red vs. Blue" and anyone who grew up in the 70's (or saw it on That 70's Show) might remember that game. Hee.
