I am The Fool

The Fool can signal a new beginning or change of direction - one that will guide you onto a path of adventure, wonder and personal growth. He also reminds you to keep your faith and trust your natural responses. If you are facing a decision or moment of doubt, the Fool tells you to believe in yourself and follow your heart no matter how crazy or foolish your impulses may seem.

The Fool also frequently messes up the numbers he inputs into forms. Maybe you should try it again...

My Day Off

I woke at 8am, and not it's 9:33 and I'm in my jammies and robe, playing on the computer, while Charlie plays his scateboarding Gamecube game, still in his jammies.

Possibly I should be doing something useful with the day, like cleaning the house, but I don't wanna.

I downloaded some lovely icons this morning, including several from someone called [livejournal.com profile] celandineb (hopefully I spelled that right) that are Oscar Wilde quotes. Which is just totally cool.

My neighbor (who is 13)asked me yesterday if she could borrow my Labyrinth DVD, which was amusing because I had been planning on watching it last night, since for some reason there'd been a plethora of Laby icons lately and it put me in the mood. So I suggested we watch it together, which we did.

Charlie never saw it before - not sure why, but I guess I didn't think he'd be interested. He loved it, which surprised me.

It was sweet. He watched the beginning very quietly and then said, "You can't take people's baby. It's against the LAW!" and crawled into my lap. He laughed at the Goblins, and really enjoyed the songs, (he is already a David Bowie fan) and worried out loud about Sarah trying to get her baby back throughout the course of the movie.

It was fun.

And, I just love that movie. I'm really pleased it managed to find an audience over the years, because it deserves it. I pointed out to (my neighbor) that it was done without CGI and computers and the like, and she was amazed. It was all Muppets and sets and camera tricks. Not that there is anything wrong with movies using computers and whatnot, but it's nice to see something so well done that didn't it, as it were, by hand.

Anyway. I should go get showered and dressed, I think. I'll be back.

Now I have to decide what icon to use...

If anyone has the time/ability to go onto Games.com would you be interested in playing a game of Scrabble with me? I usually play with [livejournal.com profile] slammerkinbabe but her office just closed early for the holiday so she's off to to real life things. I'm at home today, so I have plenty of time.

Anyone?

Am currently dealing with a very upset 7 year old. We went off to the pool, and it started to thunder, so the pool had to be closed.

He is Not Happy.

He is yelling at the Thunder.

The thunder, you see, has broken the rules.

It's not supposed to thunder when we want to go to the pool.
