I read the first 3+ chapters of HPB at my friend's house today. I couldn't help it. And now, at least, I know what Owls Harry got. That was weighing on my mind. I was going to do some conjecturing under a cut, but decided to wait until I've read the entire book. Which will hopefully be in the not too distant future. I feel so left out. Practically every post on my flist has 'spoilers for HPB' somewhere on it. Ah well. C'est la vie. (le? la? is life feminine or masculine?)
In Cute Charlie news, I've mentioned, I'm sure, how he has become a big Labyrinth fan of late, and today when we were coming back from checking on the neighbor's cat (they are away on vacation) he stopped walking, turned around, pretended to throw something, then said "Oh no! The Cleaners!* Run!" and grabbed my hand. So we ran from the Cleaners, and he pretended to fall down, and we ran some more. It was dead cute, I can tell you. And also, it is nice to see him developing an imagination.
I read something once where David Bowie mentioned how many children recognize him from The Labyrinth, but I'm proud to note Charlie knew who he was anyway, as Ziggy Stardust was one of his favourite songs.
So, must get the boy out of the tub and into his jammies. Good night all!
For anyone who never saw Labyrinth (and if so, why? go rent it now. Go!) The Cleaners is this contraption with twirly knives and things on it that chases Hoggle and Sarah through a corridor.
