Apr. 18th, 2007 10:40 amI just found out that a college friend, Nina Troth, died two weeks ago. She'd had breast cancer, and the cancer eventually spread to her brain.
I last saw her in 2005. Just a little over 2 years ago actually, at the retirement party for Professor Rich.
I'm trying to be coherent here, but it's hard. I'm grieving for the loss of a friend, but also the loss of opporunities. Part of me thinks I shouldn't be this sad. Haven't seen her in years, we weren't best friends, but I can't help it. People who know had lost my contact info and couldn't get a hold of me, so I missed the funeral.
I've lost so many people in my life and never had the chance to tell them what they meant to me because I always think I'll have another chance.
I need to go cry for a bit.
