Writer's Block: Satisfying the craving

The summer after my freshman year of high school, I went out to Concord California (near San Francisco) to visit my best friend who'd moved there the spring before. I was only supposed to be there for two weeks, and wound up staying two months. It was great.
Anyway...we would stay up all hours of the night, either lying in bed talking or sitting in her living room watching MTV.
When we would get hungry during these late nights we would trot off to the kitchen to get a snack. Sometimes it would be Rocky Road Ice Cream and sometimes it would be a bologna and cheese sandwich. Probably other things as well, but those are the two I remember the most.
Because of this, to this day, when I'm up late of an evening I will get a craving either for Rocky Road Ice Cream or a bologna sandwich with mustard and lettuce. It's a weird sense memory that I don't think will ever go away.
I used to have soft pretzels when I came home after hanging out with friends during high school, but when I think of late night snacks, it's the ice cream or the sandwich that will inevitably pop into my head.
