I have to say that I am amazed by how dark Charlie's hair is in that picture! Then again, I was platinum!blonde until I was 10. Hair is weird.

I know! Hair is weird. I was sure Charlie would be dark haired and blue-eyed like his daddy but so far it's blond hair and hazel/green eyes. Lots of the boys on the husband's side are blond, though, and husband was blond for years, like you.
