Happy Mother's Day

charliesmumDid some gardening for Mother's Day. This is the second year we did that, does that make it officially tradition, do you think?
Well, it's not a garden so much as a little patch in the front of our house. It's not a bit, walled garden like I used to imagine I'd have some day. I'm guessing I'm not the onlylittle girl who had that dream after reading A Secret Garden, right?
Every summer I think I ought to do something with our back garden, and every summer I don't. Maybe this time will be the charm! Meanwhile, I got some pretty flowers, and the mulch looks nice and we had a good time planting.
In other news, we drove toPodunk New Egypt and got the husband's truck, so pray to the gods of transportation that this one will last at least a year.
Baby Emmeline and her mother may be coming home today. That's exciting.
