Only, not so much. Have some bacteria in my urine, or something which...ewww. Have to take antibiotics. Also apparently have a possibly Thyroid problem, low or high or something, I forget which. He said it was weird because I'd recently lost weight, which I might not have been able to do with low thyroid, but it turned up, so I have to go back in 6 months to keep an eye on it.

But I don't have a mysterious disease that is going to send me into convulsions and then make them have to intubate me and then later give me a tracheotomy, right before I fall into a coma, so that's a good thing.

I'm sorry, I was trying to commiserate re your health, but instead I have been hopelessly mesmerized by your "House licks his hand" icon. It is teh sex.

It is lovely, isn't it? I mentioned on [livejournal.com profile] house_md that that shot needed to be an icon, and was rewarded.

Just don't let them give you an MRI of Doom!

Hope you're feeling better soon.

I thought the exact same thing: Whatever you do, at all costs, don't get an MRI! What "House" has done to my brain...

Anyway, [livejournal.com profile] charliesmum, hope you get better soon, with no further complications!

Funny, I have a UTI currently too. Apparently. The emergency room discovered it - they didn't have time to treat the seizures, but they had time to analyze my urine and find an unrelated medical problem, apparently. They sent me home without treating it, but then later they wrote on my chart that they had given me a prescription for Bactrim. Which they hadn't. But, hell, it's the thought that counts, right?

/bitterness

In all seriousness, I hope you are feeling better soon. I've had thyroid issues before as well, and they suck. I hope all turns out well for you.

That's like the time my doctor sent me to the ER because my appendix was very swollen and she was concerned that it would burst. After sixteen hours of waiting, the ER doc told me the good news: I wasn't pregnant.

WTF?

Ack! Just watch out for pencillin antibiotics, if you have to take that. (...is there another sort? I am so ignorantPencillin has the tendency to cause yeast infections, as I'm discovering...

I get UTIs like, all the time - it's not exactly a party. You have my sympathies. And wow, you get the same way with House-watching that I do! The other day a bug flew in my eye and I was like, "I'm going to end up with a bug burrowing its way into my brain and no-one will understand why I'm having mysterious seizures!:
