You are a thirtysomething
You're a little frustrated that you can't hear all the tones that the young 'uns can but will be more than happy if it means you don't have to listen to their damn ringtones on the bus anymore.

The highest pitched ultrasonic mosquito ringtone that I can hear is 14.9kHz

Fascinating -
You are a dog
Or maybe you are a mosquito, you certainly can't be human.

...which is the second highest there, which was very audible to me - and so I checked, and apparently there's no sound in the highest.

Mmm. That's really very interesting. *goes to pester parents*

I'm a doorknob. :-) Even with my hearing aids jacked all the way up and a very quiet room. I cannot hear anything whatsoever. Wah!
I wonder if it's because it reacts to my hearing aids (mine is ditigal), and it doesn't pick up those sounds. I have never heard a cricket in my life, so when people complain about the abundance of crickets outside, I hear nothing. I can only hear sounds that are LOUD, not high frequencey and quiet. It has to be loud...
The only sound that absolute annoys me the most is when people whistle...that really hurts my ears. Cats purring is my favorite sounds.

I'm gonna give this test to my friends who have cohlear implants and see if they can hear anything! :-)

Thanks!

Interesting! I'm apparently not yet a teenager. :) I got the same mosquito/dog result.

I'm not entirely surprised - I can hear channels switching on a muted TV, and sometimes electronic interference (putting a TV and phone near each other, for example, apparently can make a sound like microphone interference except much higher-pitched) bugs me when no one else can hear it.

Took me forever to get it to load, but I got:

I'm surprised I did that well. But considering I'm wondering if I need bifocals for some things, I suppose my hearing can make up for my lousy eyesight. Wonder how the hubby would do. He'd probably get "Wow, you are really deaf, you old fart". Which he is - not old, lol, but his hearing is so damaged from his work.
