Tell me this isn't stupid. NEW YORK (AP) -- The PBS Kids Sprout network has fired the host of "The Good Night Show" after learning she had appeared in videos called "Technical Virgin."
Apparently "PBS Kids Sprout has determined that the dialogue in this video is inappropriate for her role as a preschool program host and may undermine her character's credibility with our audience," said Sandy Wax, network president.
First of all, she made the videos before getting the kid gig and secondly, how could it undermine the credibility with their audience? Their audience are toddlers. Why would toddlers be in any position to see recognize her in an adult film?
Remember when Paul Rubens got caught, er, being naughty, and they cancelled his kids show. If the newspapers didn't go around saying 'Oh, Pee Wee Herman is a pervert!!!' none of the kids would even know who the heck Paul Rubens was.
It is so stupid it makes me grind my teeth.
