The Husband has been given two more weeks to 'shape up', apparently. Which is good, but on the other hand, it's two more weeks of not knowing what is going to happen.

I'm not sure how to look at this. I do think if they really planned on getting rid of him, they'd just do it already, but I don't get why they keep stringing him along. I can't figure out their MO.

In other news, did I mention I'm going to the New York Renissance fair next Saturday? My friend from the Shakespeare Company invited me. I'm really looking forward. We're dressing up and everything.

Am possibly going to my parent's house 'down the shore' today, so I'd better go get my day started.

Have a nice weekend everyone.

Maybe hubby's company is hoping to find a way to keep him, you know, money-wise and they're not necessarily stringing him along, just hoping things work out for them to keep him?

Have fun at the shore!

well.... the first thought that came to my head when Isaw the news about your hubby is : the guy they planned on replacing him with got a better offer. But I'm a pecimist. It could be that they just didn't finish planning the workload and everything so they just don't know yet.

"Shape up" how?

Well, long story short, he'd fallen behind on doing stuff because they don't give him the handymen he needs, so basically he needs to catch up, or something. I don't really know. It's annoying.

Wow, how distressing. I hope they come to a final decision soon, but I also hope that they really are trying to find a way to keep him.

I hope that he has gotten a detailed list, in writing, of the things they expect of him in their definition of "shape up." I hope that during the two weeks, he gets feedback from them that is documented. And I hope that after the two weeks are up, that he has another sit-down session with them that has proper documentation of what has or hasn't been done.

AND, I hope you guys are documenting this for unemployment or for suing them!

Where at the shore? we are going to ocean city I think...

Hope you have a really good time at the renaissance fair - I love that kind of thing. We went to a medieval joust a couple of weeks ago, dressed up in period costume and everything - it was great! (Some drop-dead gorgeous cossack trick riders helped the day along no end!) It will give you a chance to put the 2 weeks thing onto the back burner for a couple of days, tho I agree that dragging the whole thing out for 2 weeks sucks!

I must have missed your post explaining what's going on with your hubby and his work. What did he do?

Couple of weeks ago he was put on notice that he had to improve drastically or he was out. So this week they said he had done better but it was still 'unacceptable' so he has two more weeks to prove he can do it or something.

It's very frustrating, as I'm sure you can totally understand.

But what was he doing wrong?
