Dear People who Create Doctor Who:

Look. You are supposed to be a sci-fi show with silly aliens and a cool guy who runs around saving the day at the last minute and spouting technobabble and being quippy.

You are not supposed to make me cry.

Nonetheless, several episodes in each the last three series have had left me sitting in front of my monitor blubbering like an idiot.

Cut it out.

Love,

Me

PS. Quit making me feel sorry for some of the evil aliens, to.

Everybody in the world must be downloading that last one now. :( (Well, except in England, of course.) I just got the novel off the BBC website and was glancing through it, trying to decide whether or not I should skip to the last few pages. Think it's worth the wait?

I wish someone would upload it. I've heard so much about it in the last few hours that I'm antsy to see it.

I hhaven't seen the latest episode, but I just about cried in season one when they left Jack behind. And when the Doctor left Rose behind. And when Jack left the original Jack behind.

Huh. I sense a theme. RTD should probably see someone about his abandonment issues.

Don't forget when Micky stayed behind in Age of Steel.

And, of course, Father's Day. School Reunion had to do with leaving too.

I think you're on to something! :)

There was serious sobbing in my house after this episode! Anything First World War-ish tends to have that effect anyway, so when all the other stuff was added in..... And don't forget the Girl in the Fireplace episode - I have it in DVD but I daren't watch it!

Father's Day is the one that kills me every single time. I am a total blubbering idiot at the end of that episode, every single time.

And yeah, something about WWI is just so tragic. Well, all war is tragic, but like they said in the Confidential, that was when it all changed - first mechnical war, so many very young men were killed, England changed forever, and so on.

I started crying when John Smith was making his decision, and at the very end when old Tim was sitting there with the watch, I totally lost it.

I am such a dork.
