Now I feel a little guilty for thinking ill of this man

Remember last fall how I didn't get a big part in 12th Night, and I was all emo and whiny about it?

I was just recently corresponding with that director, whom I had bitched about at great length, and he said this:

If I had attended a production review one of the things I would have mentioned is how much I admired your reaction to getting a smaller role than you had hoped for; that instead of being a problem you were a great asset when you filled in for the SM and in your wonderfully imaginative performance in a small role. A role that is usually a throw away and done perfunctorily was fun and , for the first time for me, it really fit into what 12th Night should be.

So, that was nice.
