Saw today's segment with the Not!Katie Coric woman interviewing JKR on the Today show. JKR was taking questions from some kids, and answered a couple of questions that I'd been asking. I'm sure others have seen this, or will do because if it isn't up on You Tube in the near future I will be much surprised, but I'm posting them here anyway.

Someone asked her what Harry, Ron and Hermione's jobs were 19 years later, and JKR said that Harry and Ron had revitalized the Auror department, and Hermionie was very likely high up in the Magical Law department. Which makes sense, really. She probably devoted her adult life to making sure laws are passed to protect House Elves and Werewolves etc.

Someone else asked who the headmaster was at Hogwarts. She didn't have a name but she said it was not McGonnagal, who was 'getting on' in years. She said if/when she writes that encyclopedia, she'll answer that question.

So, good to know.

I still want to do a full review of DH. I'm re-reading it now, to get the bits I probably missed in my first reading. It happens, you want so much to know what is going on, some of the more subtle things pass you by. Plus, now that I know what happened, it's fun to see the little hints and things.

I am going to this thingy today that has to do with being a substitute teacher. I am hoping it isn't some money-making scam. Will let you know.

I'm find of fannishly happy about those jobs. But I wanna know about LUNA. And what Ginny's job is. I'm hoping Ginny is Chaser for England.

Luna is apparently the wizarding equivalent of a naturalist, and she may or may not be getting it on with Neville. No word on Ginny, though, which makes me sad.

I know she's the author, but I don't believe her. McGonagall is no older than Dumbledore was, so there's no reason she shouldn't be headmistress, unless she doesn't want to be. Now if she said McGonagall wouldn't do it because she'd rather be a teacher than an administrator, I'd believe that.

I imagine eventually Hermione might get a chance to be Minister of Magic. I think it would be neat if she did do an encyclopedia.
