For those interested, the Four-Leaf Clover count is now up to 25. He said to me, and this is a direct quote, "In the future, I found 25,000."

Right. So the Ghost Weekend.

Freaky, freaky place. It was hard to get a 'real' sense of anything though, because I was already aware of the idea that it was haunted and, frankly, it looks like the kind of place that should be haunted and, since it was a fort and a prison, it is easy to imagine bad things going down.

My favorite story is of the blacksmith who would constantly argue about the back door of the forge being open. he wanted it open, because it got bloody hot in there, and the commander wanted it closed. Apparently Jacob the Blacksmith's spirit still comes back to continue the argument by opening the door. The last time, the people in charge had it nailed shut or something, and returned not long after to find the thing torn from its hinges. It was fixed and shut when we were there, but I was hoping it would get ripped off some time during the night. It wasn't though.

In 'casement 5' where lots of the activity is, we sat for awhile in the complete darkness, and I heard someone sigh very heavily right behind my head. When I mentioned this I was told, 'Oh, yeah, he does that. He usually goes for the blondes though.' Apparently a spirit did enter the room at one point, and someone else saw it, but I didn't. Bummer.

The Spooky Casemate 5

Got some oogy feelings in other parts of the camp, but I shan't bore you with them. Took some photos, and got what I think may be 'orbs' but I need to have them looked at first. I took the photos when I was having the oogies, so you never know.

There was one point, too, when we were getting our training, I kept feeling like there was someone sitting next to me.

This was where we trainees got to really do an investigation, which mostly consists of sitting around in a darkened room without benefit of clever editing to make it go faster like it does in "Ghosthunters". I liked this place. Nothing really happened, and I didn't get any bad feelings there - for all I know there was a murder-suicide or something, but I got a feeling of love there, really. We trainees were in the 'annex' where we had the ballroom, the bowling ally (really) the 'children's room' and the office and the card room. In the card room there is a giant moose head. I thought it was a hunting trophy but it was HB Smith's pet, that died of natural causes.

I did get one 'orb' picture, and kept feeling drawn to this window seat in the children's room - almost sat there but then felt like I shouldn't. I have no idea if that means anything. The leader didn't tell me, and I haven't read any of the stories yet, but there you go.

What did everyone think of Doctor Who this weekend? Very Sci-fi horror movie, but once again, the bloody show brought tears to my eyes when Martha was talking to her mum. Plus the whole key/phone thing was so sweet. And that bald guy, Ashton, was hot. Just saying.

Heroes finale tonight. No House tomorrow. Pout.

I think the Doctor is still fighting getting attached to Martha a little bit. It's actually kind of refreshing compared to the way they used to do it. He used to go through companions like Captain Kirk went through alien babes and didn't make much of a fuss about it, but it's perfectly natural he should have mourned the loss of Rose and then didn't want to open himself up to getting hurt again right away. I'm glad that people are thinking about the ramifications of attachment, good and bad.

Am I the only one who really, really hates Martha's mom?

No, I hate her too.

I keep wondering, like everyone else, if Mister Saxon is the Master (dodgy anagram or no).

Yes, that one-which he couldn't be, since The Master has already been played by six actors.

I'm going to have to go back and watch the past episodes again for the clues about who he is.

There were some hints that he wasn't exactly the Master, but I figured it was just a matter of time before he showed up in this new series, so I think he is.

And he's being played by John Simm, late of Life on Mars,*points to icon* which makes me so very happy.

I'll have to go back and watch the episodes over again to pick up the hints.

John Simm looks like he'll make a really good master.

Have you seen the previews for "Utopia" with Jack hanging onto the Tardis?

Oh, and I've always wanted to do the ghosthunting thing - very cool! I have a friend who got to stay at the Clay mansion in Kentucky a while back and he really enjoyed it, but I don't think he saw much on that occasion, but he's seen lots of stuff other times, and got a message supposedly from some sort of spirit that they'd one day unearth a certain baby's toy, and to watch for it (his wife manages the site). He was a bit wigged out by that. So far they haven't found it yet - it's supposed to be a metal rattle with an initial on it.

If you are ever in my neck of the woods, come see me and I will give you the ghost tour of the fort where I work, which has been (among other things) a barracks, a penitentiary, and an insane asylum.
