Cookie to anyone who gets the quote in the subject line. (To be fair, the last bit should read 'cast into the pit for all eternity' but I ran out of room)

First day was good. The woman who is training me said it was 'hard to get fired from this place' so, should it happen to me, I shall assume the mantel of the biggest loser in the universe. Just giving you a heads up.

Really though, I'm hoping the work will be something I don't screw up, because I quite like this company. The people are nice, the company as a whole is very laid back and flexible. The CEO is Russian, as is the tech guy, which for some reason I think is kinda cool. The tech guy's name is Vlad, even.

Hope you all have a swell day.

Spaciba - Thank-you
Pajaluista - Please/you're welcome
Atlichna - Excellent! Great! (term of praise/exclamation)
Zdrafstvuitye - Hello (formal)
Da svidanya - Good-bye (relatively informal)
Privyet - Hi (informal)
Kak u vas dela? - How's it going?
Harasho - Good, great! (Ochen harasho, very good)
Nichevo - Okay
Niplokha - Not bad
Plokha - Bad (but _only_ use it if you want to then explain exactly why things are bad - it invites/precedes an explanation!)

Those are all pretty phonetic (although not written using traditional transliteration, which, IMO, _sucks_ for actual pronunciation.)

Spaciba!

I like Plokha. Just seems to sum it right up.
