I actually have something positive to say

I found an apartment, and actually got accepted.

It isn't fantastic - the rooms are a bit poky, but it's very inexpensive, and he pays the heat, and it's near Charlie's school, and on a quiet street, and has a balcony, which is kind of cool.

My brilliant friend kirathaune has already offered to help me brighten up the place, ("Hey, we can work with poky" she said) which means it will probably be amazing eventually, and yay! I have a place to live.

There's lots of sadness mixed in this. Dreams shattered, that sort of thing, but it is also a chance to start from ground zero, and try not to screw it up this time. The world is my lobster.

I'm actually a little jealous. New beginnings are le sexay. It's going to take me some time to get to the point of going through what you are now and actually leaving, mainly because I am jobless and definitely not currently self-supporting. But I think it's the trajectory I am on, in slow-mo. Maybe 2 years to independence for me, I think.
