This is the best thing ever.

Now, as you know, I've said on several occaisions that a musical romantic comedy starring Neil Patrick Harris and John Barrowman could be made of awesome. Recently the website www.afterelton.com had this article about the 'gay of the decade' and the top six contained NPH and JB.

NPH has a Twitter, and he mentioned this, and said he'd like to be voted for, and made a joke about how he 'wouldn't mind being on top of John Barrowman'.

This made me ridiculously happy, because it proved that NPH knows who John Barrowan actually IS. Why that should matter, I don't know, but still...

The funny thing is, the poll has become this 'thing' on Twitter, with Barrowman trying to recruit people to vote for him, and NPH doing the same (For the record, Jonathan Ross and Neil Gaiman are Team Barrowman, Felicia Day and Nathan Fillion are Team NPH).

(See here for a run-down)

It's starting to get press, and I really hope it goes viral, because with NPH and Barrowman competing for Gay of the Decade, it might just prompt some Hollywood Big Wig to think, 'hey, let's put them in a movie together!'

My thought - they could be two guys competing for a title like this, (based on actual events!) and during the competition, when all their friends are doing sneaky and amusing things to get their guy to win, they fall in love with each other. Kind of like Romeo and Juliet but funny, and with two men.

OMG YES. Are they seeing anyone? Because I really like that idea.

Both in long term relationships, actually. John Barrowman married his partner a couple of years ago.

See, I do love NPH for "HIMYM" and for "Dr Horrible's." And I would happily walk through the gates of Hell if the divine Mr F. endorsed doing so. But Barrowman's a fellow Scot. So "Team Barrowman" it must be.

I'm a teeny bit Scottish. My great-grandmother on my mother's side was from Scotland, so it's held a special place in my heart. Her last name was Bullock, I think.

I couldn't pick between them, and also, as much as I adore both (and I do), I had to vote for Sir Ian McKellan.

I did too, that man has enough charisma leaking from his pores to kill a moose.

...I agree. Only if there is a dramatic like, moonlit scene. XD

Sorry..

No matter how good NPH can be in HIMYM and Dr. Horrible, he's still Doogie. There's no way that Captain Jack should lose to Doogie
