Just a quick update to say hello.
Hello. Can't go on line as often at work. They've cracked down on the improper use of the Internet. Sigh.
Nothing new here, job wise, for anyone who can't sleep nights for worrying about me. I'm still hoping my friend's company will offer me a position, but I'm trying not to be too optimistic about it. I am thinking maybe it would be best just to chuck the current job all together, since I don't think I can handle the stress anymore of being in a place where I apparently am not doing a good job, then I panic about money and things, but then I think maybe it will all just work out for the best. So we'll see.
On the bright side, my sister came home from Cali. this past weekend to celebrate her birthday, and I got to help her look at some wedding dresses, and that was fun. She is getting married on December 12 in Las Vegas. Yes, fast, I know. I'm very happy for her.
And my other sister is pregnant with her second child, so good for her! I'm excited to be an aunt again. Hoping for a girl this time!
As for me, I've written 4,000 words of a mystery story, and I am very proud of me for several reasons. One, mystery isn't my genre, really, and I'm actually doing pretty well, plot wise, I think, and two, it's been awhile since I've written that many words of an original story, so go me. And I'm feeling creative again, so that's nice.
Gosh what I wouldn't give to be able to just spend the day writing. Well, I could do that now, theoretically, but I'd be worrying too much about finances and things, so it wouldn't be that much fun. But...and can you tell I'm rambling...JK Rowling wrote whilst on the dole, so I really have no excuse.
And new Gilmore Girls tonight. Hurrah.
