Am so not good at April Fool's jokes

Missed most of the jokes on line today, as I was at home with Charlie and not at work staring at a computer all day. But I've never been one for practical jokes anyway. You'd think, as someone who has actually been involved in acting, I'd be good at them, but I can never quite pull it off. Don't know why.
Meanwhile, Charlie and I had a good day and I got to hang out with my best friend who I hardly ever get to see because she works on weekends and I work on week days. We had fun. She's one of the kind of friend where we can hold entire conversations without ever completing a sentence, carry on discussions using movie quotes and private jokes. We have the exact same sense of humor and the exact opposite taste in men, which is what one should look for in a best friend. She's a bit of a Republican, but I can forgive her that.
She's one of the people with whom I've had those perfect moments of absolute joy - nothing big or earth-shattering. Just a moment. We once spent an afternoon giggling at halmark cards, and on the way home we walked through a bunch of may flies or fruit flies - I don't know, those little gnat things. Her science class had been studying the gnats and as we passed through them, I said 'quick, what sex are they?' and we laughed so hard we had to sit down on the sidewalk. That to me was a perfect moment.
It was nice to see her.
