Stuff before bedtime

At the request of
lizzyrose89 I’m going to share the story I wrote to
mock_the_stupid that was rejected. (and in case anyone cares, I bear no malice to the mods for rejecting me. I wasn’t sure myself it was an acceptable story. It was amusing, maybe, but not stupid)
At any rate, here’s the story.
Back when we were in high school, my best friend and I used to walk up to this small strip mall to get videos from the small video store (that probably got swallowed up by Blockbuster eventually) that was there. One lovely spring day we went there to get a movie, and then decided to walk casually by this shop that sold teenage boy clothing, called “Chess King”, to see if there were any cute boys inside.
So we causally stroll past the shop front, which is basically all glass, and my friend had her head turned to look inside the shop and walked smack dab into the door that had been propped open.
the guys inside may have been cute, but they were laughing too hard, and she was too embarrassed to look much further.
See, not stupid so much as embarrassing. I can’t think of any good ‘stupid people’ stories, although I’m sure I’ve crossed paths with some morons in my day.
In other news,
slammerkinbabe was taking drabble requests and one person on her flist requested a story from either Buffy or Xena, shows that
slammerkinbabe never watched. So I joked that I’d ghost write a story for her, and then I got bit by a mediocre plot bunny, so I wrote something and posted it in comment of the person who requested the fic in the first place, and now I figured I’d share it with you all – so all you people who just recently friended me, you can find out right away what an odd duck I can be.
It’s Buffy/Faith slash, nothing explicit, but I use the word ‘breast’.
The interweb is corrupting me.
Faith lay back on her hard mattress, and stared unseeingly at the prison bars. She was getting used to being in jail and the other prisoners learned early on not to mess with her; being a Slayer still came in handy. She sighed, thinking, as she often did, of that night, the night before her life fell into chaos.
She and Buffy had been so on the same wavelength then, B was starting to get the upside of being a Slayer; that hard reserve she seemed to keep between her mind and her nature was crumbling a bit, and when they attacked that nest of vamps, B was feeling it.
Afterwards Faith was, as always, hungry and horny, so they’d popped over to the Bronze to get some food and to assuage some of the pent up feelings by dancing. It wasn’t sex, but it would do.
They were dancing with a couple of random boys, and Faith, partly to be a cock-tease and partly because she wanted to, took Buffy’s hands and moved closer to the blonde slayer, slipping into a provocative dance. To her surprise, Buffy responded in kind, and soon they were dancing like there was no one else in the room.
Faith was trying to keep it innocent, just a couple of girls teasing the boys, but Buffy’s hips were pressing into her own, their breasts brushing together, and it was all Faith could do to keep from grabbing Buffy and kissing her hard on the lips. Then their eyes locked, and Faith was sure, was positive she saw an answering lust in Buffy’s eyes.
She leaned in closer, just to see, and to her surprise and delight, Buffy didn’t move away, and Faith leaned in further, her lips just brushing Buffy's, but they were interrupted, and the moment was gone. Duty called, Buffy was all business, and after that, everything fell apart. Faith’s life spiraled downwards, and Buffy’s spiraled…well, upwards if her recent “holier than thou” attitude indicated anything.
Faith sighed again, shifting into a more comfortable position on her hard mattress, and thought of the last time she saw Buffy whose eyes were, when she looked at her, filled with anything but lust. She hated Faith, and everything Faith stood for.
Still, when she finishes her time, maybe she’ll go find Buffy, ask for forgiveness and then, if Buffy gives it…maybe she’ll ask her to dance.
