Just because I like to follow the crowd.

So...weekend...It was nice. Spent all afternoon on Saturday at our pool with my friends - Jennifer and Melissa, who are the mothers two Charlie's best friend, and Tracy. It was the perfect pool day, warm but not humid, the water felt nice, we talked about books and movies and life and it was a good day.

Then in the evening, I went with Tracy and Joanne to see the movie Bewitched. It was really good. It was fun and light and amusing, and the actors were all very good, and Michael Caine rules. Nicole Kidman was great - some people seem to think she can't do comedy, but she totally can. It was a really nice 'homage' to the original Bewitched, and a funny movie in its own right.

Sunday was my friend's shower for her upcoming 2nd wedding - it wasn't a 'traditional' shower - no gifts, but it was fun, and I got to catch up with one of my high school friends, Laura, who I don't see nearly enough. And I made a speech, and everyone got teary, and we all had a nice time. Beth's sister did this lovely slideshow using photos of Beth and Jack growing up, with a Melissa Etheridge song playing, and it was really touching.

So, have I thrilled you with my non-stop weekend o' fun? I'm done now
