I am hosting my book club on Monday, so naturally my house is in its messiest state. I was watching this show on BBC America called "The Life Laundry" and I really want them to come to my house and help me sort through all my junk. (plus they do some redecorating and paint walls and stuff)

You know, if all I knew about Great Britain came from watching BBC America on weekend mornings, I would think that it was a country dedicated soley to re-doing their homes. I like to imagine that I could move there, using 'Homes Under the Hammer' to help me buy a nice home at auction (or, failing that, 'Location, Location, Location' to help me buy a home on the market), then have House Invaders and Changing Rooms come to help me re-do the interior, and The Life Laundry people to help me with the bits left over. And then if I wanted to sell the home, I'd go to House Doctor.

Then Trini and Suzanne can come and give me a makeover on What Not to Wear.

Are any of those shows actually still on in the UK?

Well, none of this is getting my house clean. Also Easter is in a week and I've not gotten anything for Charlie's basket yet. Sigh.

Going to be a busy weekend.

Changing Rooms has officially Stopped, as far as I know, and I think the rest are in between seasons. I don't like Madams What Not to Wear, but they are always right!

I've not gotten anything for Charlie's basket yet.

I did a *bad* thing yesterday in regards to Easter baskets. Hubby and both girls went to a father/daughter dance, and I was bored here at home. So I figured I'd go to Walmart and look around for Easter basket stuff. I don't like to buy the girls a bunch of candy, they really don't need some huge, Halloween-like, selection of candy for Easter. But candy is the cheapest, other stuff costs more. I ended up spending $110 on basket stuff. Yikes. Now, $40 of that was two new Gameboy games for them, but still, hubby was *not* pleased about it. I told him I would return it all and this year he could do all the Easter, birthday, Chrismtas, etc, shopping. He said 'no, no, that's not what I meant'. Then he asked what I would do if he did all that shopping. I told him I'd sit on my ass and watch wrestling like he does while I'm agonizing over what to buy. Shut him right up. Heh.

It's amazing how quickly everything adds up, isn't it?

Charlie convinced me to get him the Incredibles DVD this weekend. More money.

I so wish that I had BBC America. I have teh Basic Boring Cable (I do like it a lot, but I wish I had more channels) and so I've missed a lot of shows I'd like to see. I really want to see the British version of "The Office".
