Took Charlie to The Pop Shop for the discounted ice cream drinks this evening. Haddon Avenue, the main street in Collingswood always looks beautiful at Christmas time - the buildings are old, which lends that nice nostalgic feel, and each tree that lines the road is wrapped in white lights, and there is this sign with the words "Seasons Greetings" in lights that crosses over the street, and all the stores are decorated and the hardware store was piping out Christmas music, and the air was crisp and just for a moment I felt Christmassy. That little tingle of excitement and hope and goodwill buzzed through me and it was nice.
