I've started receiving holiday cards from you lot, which is wonderful. Now that I have extra time on my hands I hope to get mine out soon.

carlanime sent me a book because she is made of awesome. A lovely 'children's' type book which to me is the equivalent of comfort food and just what I needed. It is called "Dial-A-Ghost" and it was adorable and I read it all in one go.
It snowed just a little bit last night, which is fun. Charlie kept looking out the window, begging it to 'snow a lot'. Sadly, it mostly turned to rain. But that's early December in New Jersey for you.
This morning I was watching Moulin Rouge on Logo (which is just an amazing film) and Ewan McGregor was singing and Charlie said, "Oh, Mommy, he's cute."
That's my boy.

1. My user's name is "Charlie's Mum" because it is the name I answer to the most and the one I am most proud of. It is 'mum' not 'mom' because I am an anglophile. My sub-user name is "Carol the Mom' because Charlie called me that while pretending to do the telegram joke from The Muppet Show, and I thought it was a good descriptor.
2. My journal is titled "Stuff and Nonsense" because basically that's what the journal consists of. And it's an already established phrase, albeit it a rather antiquated one meant to express disbelief or derision, so it is a play on words. Sort of.
3. My subtitle is "Oh the Thinks I can Think" because it is a Dr Suessism, and it is always fun to quote Dr Seuss, and because it is my journal where I post the thinks I am thinking.
4. My friends page is called "Really Cool People" because they are.
5. My default userpic is one of Charlie and me caught in a candid loving moment. I just love the expression on his face.
