Sometimes the Husband is really sweet

This morning on Barsky, they were doing this bit where men could call in and offer to exchange their father's day presents for Aerosmith tickets. The catch was, it had to be something handmade by the children, something sweet and sentimental. They didn't think they'd get that many calls but they were flooded with selfish bastards men who were willing to exchange things like handprints in clay and homemade cards and, which was the winner, a scrapbook filled with pictures from the child's birth onwards, and things the toddler drew with her own hands.
So, I'm working, listening to this, and laughing because it was funny, and the Husband calls. "You know that picture Charlie drew for me for Father's Day?" he asked. "Where did I leave it?"
"On the couch," I told him. "Why, do you want me to fax it over?"
"Oh, yeah, you can do that. I just wanted to make sure I still had it."
So I fax it, and we chat, and he says to me, "I was listening to Barsky this morning..."
