As I was lying in bed last night, drifting off to sleep, I realised why my LJ wasn't doing what I wanted it to do. I'd chosen one of the layouts that is available to free users, and therefore it doesn't give as many options. I've changed it now, and am happily enjoying the fact that I can Do Stuff.

In Real Life News, we took Charlie to Clementon Amusement Park yesterday.

It's a small park not too far from where we live, but we'd just never gone before. For whatever reason, for the first time ever a commercial for the park caught Charlie's eye. It was on Thursday. He's recently become fascinated with where towns are, so naturally he knew exactly where Clementon was, and knew it was near by. "Mommy! We have to go there!" he shouted to me on Thursday evening. I told him, yes, we ought to go one day. "Do you want to go now," he asked, "or tomorrow?"

So we went on Saturday. He was so very happy. He'd never been on water slides or anything before and was in his element. They don't have too many rides really, but it was enough. There's this one slide where you lay face first on a mat and zooom down. Not my favorite, but he went on 3 times.

My dizziness was still bothering me, but in lesser degrees. The one time I had the most problem was when I was carrying this double tube up a very long flight of stairs. Holding my arm up over my head like that (to keep the tube from dragging - a park no-no) really brought the dizziness out. But mostly I was fine.

And they have the most painful roller-coaster known to man. I thought my brain was going to shoot out through my ears.
