Charlie is currently at my parent's house for his annual solo visit. I took off Thursday and Friday, and then came home Friday night, as I was going to the New York Renissance Faire on Saturday. More on that anon.
Charlie's 'girlfriend' Sara was at her grandparents, and they played together again, much to their mutual delight. Sara's grandparents were taking her to some little circus Friday night, and offered to take Charlie too. I was a bit worried it would be too much for him, but he really wanted to go, and Sara really wanted him to go, so he went. He had a great time, apparently, and did very well.
Saturday was all kinds of fun. We dressed up, which totally lends to the experience, I think. I had a borrowed skirt and a shirt my great grandmother made ages ago, and at the faire, I bought a bodice. Spent too much money, but I justified it because I will need it for something we're doing with the Shakespeare company. And it looked awesome. See?

I also had some Mead, which was very good.
I would say a good half of the people there were in 'garb', which was totally cool. Whole families were walking around dressed up. There was some guy wandering around dressed like Jack Sparrow, and he had the walk down perfectly. It was amusing. There were quite a few pirates, actually. Not sure how that fits in to 'renissance', as it was really later, but whatever. Robin Hood doesn't really fit in either, and there were tons of them, too.
