Yesterday I was told that my furniture would arrive on Tuesday 'between 9am and 1pm.' 'I work,' says I, and ask if there was any possible way to narrow that down. 'Well,' says the nice lady, 'you are scheduled as the first delivery so it should be around 9.'

So, hurrah, I think, and proceed to make plans to be home to await my new furniture.

And wait.

And wait.

I call around 10am, just to see what the deal is, and am informed by the same very nice lady (and I'm not being scarcastic, she was very pleasant) that it turns out the delivery guys had an early delivery far far away, and are only just now on the way to the Cherry Hill store where my furniture is. It will be at my house within an hour an a half.

This was kind of a drag, because there was this meeting I was supposed to be in, but as I'm not really working here anymore, it didn't stress me as much as it might have previously.

So I wait. And then finally, the furniture arrives and in less then 10 minutes it is in my house looking lovely and comfy.

The chair is even bigger than I remember, as is the couch, and my living room is kind of small, but it still works. The colors (tan and cream) really look nice with my curtains and crappy carpet, and it gives the room a whole new lease on life.

So yay. This is my first brand new couch ever, and I just love the chair - it is the kind of chair I always wanted, all big and comfy.

I had the foreseight to snap some photos so I could show ya'all what it looks like, but I lacked the foresight to remember the port thingy so I could actually plug my camera into the computer. So it will have to wait until I get home.

You know what the biggest problem with internet friends is? When they don't post; especially if they are someone who tends to post rather frequently during the day, one can't help but worry about why they are not posting. And, because you don't know them in real life, you have no way of finding out if they are okay until they post. Or respond to your post asking why they are not posting. So, [livejournal.com profile] slammerkinbabe, if you see this, let me know you are okay, and are just having a busy day or decided to spend the day out in the sunshine or something. Kay? Thanks.

You know it's time to get some real-life information about an internet friend when you're away (like, WAY away) from the computer and you find yourself mentally commenting to them.

Not I've done that. Of course not.
