charliesmumBut, I haven't posted in awhile, and I'm sure you're just pining to hear from me.
Just came back from play rehearsal. It's starting (finally) to come together, but we've had so many problems with this production, I'm not holding my breath.
Oh, get this...Charlie got some money from his uncle, a belated birthday present, so we went to Toys R Us, since I couldn't convince Charlie he should wait until after Christmas, and he really wanted to see if they had Sumo Slammers Series 4 in*. So off we go, and what do they have? Not the series 4, oh, no. The Irony Gods decided to have a bit of a laugh at my expense.
There was a Ghostfreak figure.
Remember? Ghostfreak was the thing I eBay'd for $20 just a few days ago.
Well, to be fair, it was a new Ghostfreak - the evil one, but still. I flat out told Charlie Santa already got him Ghostfreak in hopes of salvaging a bit of my pride, but he was having none of it. He wanted Ghostfreak, and it was his money.
Sigh.
Hopefully he'll still be happy with classic Ghostfreak when it shows up in his stocking.
Meanwhile, he started basketball. He's rather good at it, really. Much better than he is a baseball. (which, granted, isn't saying much, but trust me, he's pretty good.) Two of his friends are on his team, too, which is a bonus.
Oh, and I think he's singing with the chorus in the Winter Concert, but no one tells me anything. He says he is, and I had to sign a permission slip, but that's all I know.
Since this has turned out to be a Charlie-centric post, I shall end with a photo of him at a bowling party this weekend. He got 119.
