Oh my God doesn't quite cover it, it was more like a stream of curses spat out at the TV while I wildly gesticulated and hubby laughed at me. Dammit.

Where to begin?! Poor Arst got blown up in the first 10 minutes of the show while lecturing Jack, Lock, Hurley and Kate about the dangers of old dynamite. I like him, too. I had a science teacher like him.

Locke almost gets taken away by Lostzilla, but Jack saves him, and Locke says he would have been okay, that he was being 'tested' and basically tells Jack his own theory about the island, making Jack think he's nuts.

Responding to the reactions of most of the female viewers and some of the male ones, Sawyer takes off his shirt to dive in the water to rescue the rudder that fell off the raft.

Crazy French Danielle goes back to the beach, wallops Claire in the head and takes the baby, who Claire, after losing him, named Aaron. Charlie and Sayaid run into the woods after her, Sayaid surmising she is heading to the black smoke to make a trade with the 'others' - Claire's baby for her own daughter.

While in the jungle, they stop to rest at the plane that killed Boone, and Sayaid, obviously not knowing Charlie's problem, mentions the heroin.

Meanwhile the Goonies...I mean Kate, Hurley, Jack and Locke are continuing their perilous journey back to the hatch with the dynamite. Hurley blames himself for Arst's death, due to the bad luck mojo, and Jack tells Kate he needs her to watch his back because he thinks Locke's gone bye-bye.

Hurley wins the best flashback of the evening by remembering his mad dash to the airplane and all the things that went wrong in trying to get there - looks like the mojo that protects him was doing everything it could to keep Hurley off the plane. (at one point he runs past some girls soccer team or something, and the numbers on each of their shirts are 'the numbers'.

Sayaid and Charlie find the baby, but no others. Danielle says they are not there, and Charlie accuses her of being the others, but she says no, she heard them whispering about taking 'the boy'.

On the raft the radar picks up a bleep, they shoot the flare, a a ship comes.

On the ship is The Others.

Who take Walt.

The boy.

Sawyer get's shot, Jin jumps in the water after him, Michael gets beathen and thrown into the water, and the raft is set on fire.

(Best line of the night - Saywer is reading the messages in the bottle, and says 'who is Hugo and why is he leaving his mother (whatever the amount of money, I foget) if he dies.)

Round-up of Doom!

Aw, geez. You missed a perfectly good opportunity to use "whilst".

You missed a perfectly good opportunity to use "whilst". Darn. You're right. I enjoy using the word whilst, too. Oh well. It was my first real attempt at a recap. Next time I'll be sure to squeeze a 'whilst' in there! :)
