Batwoman is a lesbian

DC Comics is resurrecting the classic comic book character as a lesbian

"We decided to give her a different point of view," explained Dan DiDio, vice president and executive editor at DC. "We wanted to make her a more unique personality than others in the Bat-family."

Dude, Batman and Robin are so totally a couple. having a straight person in the 'Bat-family' would be 'more unique'.

And now we can have a Xena/Batwoman crossover romance. Or death match. Whatever.

One of the articles I read about this quoted a blogger, who said if the comic book heros really want to diversify, they will make a fat woman and an ugly man heroes too. :) I thought he/she had a very good point.

Or they'll have a cover with a female superhero who isn't in a porn-style costume/pose/whatever.

I swear, every time I see Wonder Woman, all I can think is "Playbunny!"
